Aloha! Meet our new team in Hawaii

We’ve officially said Aloha and opened our new Energy Toolbase office in Honolulu, Hawaii. This office opening has been a long time coming for our team, with the planning process of more than a year and we couldn’t be more excited to have a designated team to help support new, growing markets around the world.

2018 By The Numbers

Applying a Family Business Approach to a SaaS Startup

I founded a software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider that operates in the clean tech industry a little over four years ago. We specialize in modeling and proposing the economics of solar and energy storage projects. We’ve been fortunate to have strong and consistent growth since the start and have roughly doubled our revenues every year since inception while growing our headcount from one to 25 employees.

Energy Toolbase Celebrates 5 Years at Intersolar

Our team is headed to Intersolar North America for the 5th year in a row. In honor of celebrating 5 years, we thought we would share the back story of Energy Toolbase’s official debut at the convention in 2014 with just 2 employees and a supportive father.

Energy Toolbase Takes on Boston at Solar Power Northeast 2018

Boston is a historic city known for its red brick buildings, clam chowder, and its undoubtedly loyal Red Sox fans. So, as you can imagine, thousands of people descending upon the city for a solar power convention doesn’t really come to mind when you picture Bean Town. The Energy Toolbase team was one of 80 exhibitors that flooded the Westin Boston Waterfront hotel for Solar Power Northeast, along with more than 1,500 attendees. This year’s convention featured 5 separate tracks of education, including the addition of O&M and energy storage events, along with multiple networking events throughout the day and night. There was a good mix of exhibitors as well, which is probably what made it so intriguing. From solar mounting, software platforms to solar developers and installers, the convention was a one stop shop for solar and storage.

We’ve Expanded Our Headquarters in South Florida

Energy Toolbase has grown. Literally. We’re proud to announce that we recently doubled the footprint of our office space in Stuart, Florida. We now occupy a two-story waterfront office suite, which has allowed us to accommodate our growing team.

Solar Power International 2017 – Preview Blog

Our team is getting excited for the upcoming Solar Power International (SPI) conference out in Vegas, which is one of our favorite weeks of the year. This will be our 4th year in a row exhibiting at SPI, which is always a jammed packed week for our team. We love the opportunity to connect in person with our current users and meet new companies and contacts from all over the world. We’ve come a long way since our first SPI back in 2014. At that time, our company had 3 employees and about 50 companies using our software. Fast forward to today and we have 15 employees and over 1,300 active users from leading distributed energy organizations across the country using our application.

How Solar Installers Can Leverage Digital Marketing Strategies to Increase Online Lead Generation

It’s well documented that the rooftop solar market is becoming increasingly competitive for solar developers and installers. This is especially true in more mature markets like California, where hundreds of companies compete within the same geography for new leads and customers. This inundated market environment has driven customer acquisition costs higher, and presented a challenge for solar companies in their marketing and lead generation activities.
