Our team is headed to Intersolar North America for the 5th year in a row. In honor of celebrating 5 years, we thought we would share the back story of Energy Toolbase’s official debut at the convention in 2014 with just 2 employees and a supportive father. This convention has historically been a great opportunity for our team to connect with our users and potential customers and back in 2014, it proved that Energy Toolbase had a bright future in the renewable industry.

made the trip across the country to help out (you might have even met him at a convention since). The booth traffic and free trial signups were undeniably great, and since the platform’s debut, Intersolar is a show that our team looks forward to each year. Our founder/CEO John Gurski began coding for the platform in 2012 after spending several years as a solar contractor in California. Just two short years later he decided to take the product to Intersolar for its official debut. There weren’t any employees yet since the product hadn’t officially launched, but he convinced his then

girlfriend, now wife and Energy Toolbase executive Stefanie to quit her job and come work the show floor to demo the product. His father, Joe, also made the trip across the country to help out (you might have even met him at a convention since). The booth traffic and free trial signups were undeniably great, and since the platform’s debut, Intersolar is a show that our team looks forward to each year.

Since the initial product launch four years ago, Energy Toolbase has grown to become an industry leader and is now widely used by leading solar and storage developers, integrators, energy service companies, equipment manufacturers, distributors, financing companies, utilities, and policy organizations. The application is used by more than 1,000 leading distributed energy organizations nationwide to analyze, optimize and propose the economics of solar and energy storage projects.

Energy Toolbase Updates

Energy Toolbase will be launching two big product updates in the near future, including an energy storage simulation engine update, which includes new features and functionality for modeling both residential and commercial storage projects. We are also planning an international product launch in 2018, which will enable users anywhere in the world to model and optimize the economics of behind-the-meter solar + storage projects. Energy Toolbase is exhibiting at booth #8539, on the 2nd floor of Moscone Center West.

Integration Partner Training Sessions & Demos

The company has launched several integrations, which enable users to leverage the platform in conjunction with other industry-leading services, finance offerings, and software applications. Throughout the Intersolar conference, Energy Toolbase will be conducting ‘Training Session’ presentations with some integration partners, which will take place at the Energy Toolbase booth, #8539. The ‘Training Session’ schedule is as follows:

  • HelioScope Training Session: Tuesday, July 10th, 1:00PM
  • Clean Fund Energy Group Training Session: Tuesday, July 10th, 1:00PM & Wednesday, July 11th, 1:00PM
  • PIKA Energy: Wednesday, July 11th, 2PM
  • Utility API Training Session: Thursday, July 12th, 1:00PM Booth #8539
Intersolar gives our team the opportunity to connect with our users and answer any questions. Throughout the three days on the show floor, our team will be giving one-on-one product demos. With the latest platform updates, Intersolar will be a perfect place to connect with your account managers and get your questions answered.

We take pride in having one of the best sales and support teams in the industry and for us to continue our success, we need to hear feedback about our product. So whether you’ve got a question about our platform and its functions or you just want to give us feedback on what we can improve on, stop by booth #8539. We’re also always looking for co-marketing opportunities, including partner blog posts, customer case studies, and webinars. We recently hosted a webinar with CollectiveSun on solar for nonprofits.
